The Speed Queen 254P4P Washer Agitator Hook secures the agitator to the transmission shaft to ensure that the rotational motion is passed on to the agitator during wash cycles. It attaches to the agitator base and swivels into the drive elements under the base to keep the drive shaft in line and eliminate slip as the drive shaft rotates. Fitted into the washer tub assembly it operates throughout the washing process to ensure that the agitator swings with the drive mechanism so as to provide uniform agitation of the laundry.
