It is installed into the gasket channel surrounding the perimeter of the door to the surface of the cabinet, sealing to provide continuous contact. The compliant profile of the gasket connects to the door lining and catches and ensures compression. Its ability to maintain both thermal enclosure and unwanted air movement to maintain a constant internal temperature and cooling cycles during refrigerator operation.
