The Sharp RV-MZA331WRZZ Microwave Magnetron converts electrical energy to microwave energy via interaction of internal cathode elements and a magnetic field. It is attached to the back of the cooking cavity and attached to the high voltage transformer and waveguide assembly to make the generated microwaves reach into the chamber. When heating, it runs under the control board to produce radiation that heats water molecules in food, producing internal heat. The component provides the main source of energy in microwave cooking in units.
