The Samsung DA97-16989A Refrigerator Freezer Gasket is used to seal the perimeter of the door to ensure that the internal temperature is controlled. It operates by pressing on the frame of the cabinet, providing it an airtight seal which restricts the amount of air that moves in or out of the cabinet. It is located along the edge of the door of the freezer and presses against the molded channel, which creates a continuous seal.
