Product Description
The Samsung DA47-00424W Refrigerator Heater Metal Sheath melts frost and ice accumulation on the cooling coils during the automatic defrost cycle. The heater is located near the evaporator coils in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. It generates heat to raise the temperature around the evaporator coils to melt the frost that has formed allowing it to vent out as water. The heating element is used to provide proper cooling operation by preventing excessive ice accumulation.
