The Samsung DA31-00346B Refrigerator Geared DC Motor Damper allows the flow of air to be controlled by opening and closing an internal flap with the use of a small motor and a reduction gear set. It works to react to control-board messages that control compartment temperature balance. It is attached to a molded channel between the freezer and refrigerator spaces and screwed into the air-duct pathway. It optimizes the distribution of conditions and minimizes variations in temperature and enabling effective cooling of the zones.
