Product Description

The Speed Queen RB170001 Dryer Seal Kit blocks empty air and moisture in between the drum and bulkhead so that the dryer performs effectively. It is installed either in the area around the drum or at specific points that are used to seal the drum and keep warm air in the drum. The kit is mounted firmly into the compatible models and it fits properly in the drum and housing to work in the dryers.

Installation Steps

Step 1: All electrical power to the dryer is disconnected and the unit is detached from the outlet.

Step 2: The top panel of the dryer is taken off by loosening the screws with a screwdriver.

Step 3: The two screws securing the front panel are removed and the front panel is carefully pulled away from the dryer.

Step 4: The two wires located at the front of the dryer are unplugged.

Step 5: The old seal kit is extracted from the dryer and the new RB170001 Speed Queen dryer seal kit is installed.

Step 6: The two wires at the front of the dryer are reconnected.

Step 7: The front panel is fastened in position with the two screws and all other wiring is reconnected.

Step 8: The top panel is reinstalled by securing it with the screws.

Step 9: The dryer is reconnected to the wall outlet and the power is switched on.

Step 10: The dryer is verified to operate correctly to ensure the replacement seal kit was effective.
