Installation Steps

Step 1: The power supply to the microwave should be cut off. Either the unit should be unplugged or the breaker switch in the fuse box should be toggled to eliminate any potential hazards.

Step 2: The screws positioned at the top and bottom of the microwave door should be taken out. The door should be gently detached and placed aside.

Step 3: The fasteners on both sides of the door frame should be unscrewed. The frame should be elevated to reveal the secondary micro switch within.

Step 4: The wiring from each end of the secondary micro switch should be detached.

Step 5: The screws that secure the switch to the frame should be taken off.

Step 6: The new switch should be positioned into the frame and fastened using the screws.

Step 7: The wiring to the newly installed switch should be reattached.

Step 8: The door frame should be reinstalled, ensuring that the gasket is accurately aligned.

Step 9: The frame should be secured by screwing it back into place.

Step 10: The screws at both the top and bottom of the door should be reinserted.

Step 11: Power to the microwave should be restored and a test should be conducted.
