The Presto 85818 Deep Fryer Removable Pot provides the oil retention element, which contains cooking oil required to transfer heat in the course of deep frying. It is mounted in the fryer housing directly under the heating element, and it contacts the internal structure of the unit to maintain a consistent position and better thermal contact. It enables it to fit correctly with the other components and be safely removed to clean and maintain them. It allows even heat distribution, oil control, and containment that are required in normal deep fryer operation cycles.
