Packard PR9026 90-26 Potential Relay 395 Continuous Coil Voltage
Product Description
The 90-26 Potential Relay, also known as the PR9026, is a current-controlling device used in a variety of electrical applications. It functions similarly to a switch, but rather than being activated by a physical lever, it uses voltage. When a specific voltage range (between 180 and 195 volts) is applied to the relay's coil, an internal mechanism is triggered, which turns on the circuit. When the voltage falls below a certain threshold (between 40 and 100 volts), the relay deactivates and turns off the current. This type of relay is widely used in HVAC and air conditioning systems. It plays a critical role in regulating components like inducer motors or oil burners, ensuring they only operate when sufficient voltage is available.
