The Packard D1124 Refrigeration 1/20HP Fan Motor 3.3" DIA 1550 RPM 115V is an electrical motor that is used to make the air circulate in the system. Its purpose is to have the air flow over the evaporator or condenser coils to aid in the heat exchange and temperature control. This motor works by changing electrical power to rotational motion at 1550 RPM, rotating the fan blade attached to it and forcing air to pass through the refrigeration compartment, or cooling coils. It is mounted in the special fan casing of the refrigeration unit, and attached to the internal wiring and mounting bracket.
