The Williams Furnace P179900 Burner Pilot Assembly starts the burning process by producing and maintaining a pilot flame. It is mounted next to the burner assembly and is connected to the gas supply line and it interfaces with the thermocouple to detect the presence of flames and ensure safe operation. The arrangement of the assembly is a pilot tube orifice and a mounting bracket so that the flame can be positioned with reference to the burner. It coordinates ignition preparedness and flame stability, which facilitates controlled burner start-up.
