Product Description

The General Electric MWFP Refrigerator Water Filter provides cleaner, better-tasting water by filtering out impurities. Water flows through the MWFP filter's internal media, trapping sediment and contaminants. The filter's design utilizes activated carbon to reduce chlorine taste and odor. This process results in improved water clarity and a reduction of certain pharmaceuticals. The appliance delivers filtered water, contributing to a more refreshing drinking experience.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The GE MWFP filter housing should be identified. It is generally situated beneath the kitchen sink and should display "GE MWFP filter" or feature a small General Electric (GE) logo.

Step 2: The water supply to the filter must be disabled. Two valves will be linked to the filter housing that must be closed. One lever is typically labeled "In," while the other will be read "Out."

Step 3: The faucet connected to the filter should be activated to permit the pressure to be released from the lines.

Step 4: The water line should be detached from the filter housing. This task can be accomplished using a pair of pliers.

Step 5: The filter cover should be taken off and the filter cartridge should be installed. It should ensure that the new filter cartridge is securely positioned before the cover is replaced.

Step 6: The water line should be reattached to the filter housing and the water supply should be restored.

Step 7: Any leaks around the filter housing should be inspected and any fittings should be tightened if needed.

Step 8: The filter light on the refrigerator (if applicable) should be reset and your newly filtered water should be relished.

Please remember that these instructions are served as a general reference and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
