The Moen 100556 Monticello Handle Hub Kit Elbow provides a secure point of connection between the faucet handle and the internal valve stem. It is mounted on the back of the handle of the faucet so that it fits into the same plane as the shaft of the valve cartridge and handle. The hub and elbow are used to make the handle and valve properly oriented and torqueable. They align user rotation input with valve actuation, facilitating the easy control of water flow and temperature when using the faucet in normal mode.
