Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the power source and the water supply to the appliance should be shut off.

Step 2: The screws securing the cover at the rear of the refrigerator should be taken out to gain access to the water inlet fill valve.

Step 3: The inlet hose should be detached from the existing valve and the valve should be taken out.

Step 4: The wires connected to the old valve should be snipped using the wire cutters.

Step 5: The new valve should be positioned in place and the inlet hose should be reconnected.

Step 6: The new valve should be fastened using the screws removed in Step 2.

Step 7: The wiring harness from the new valve should be linked to the refrigerator's wiring harness.

Step 8: The water supply to the refrigerator should be reactivated and it should be reconnected to the power.

Step 9: The new valve should be verified by manually switching it on and off to confirm it operates correctly.

Step 10: Lastly, the cover at the back of the refrigerator should be reattached and secured with the screws.
