The Midea 17476000001636 Dishwasher Air Breather Assembly enables air inflow and outflow in and out of the appliance wash system, to stabilize pressure and aid the water flow properly during the drain and fill cycles. It is installed in the base of the dishwasher or it is close to the sump area whereby it connects to the tub and the plumbing passages via designated holes. By controlling air movement within the wash chamber it assists in preventing siphoning, aiding in efficient water removal and assisting normal wash, rinse, and drain operations.
