The Midea 17400103000063 Air Conditioner Compressor Capacitor 55µF 250V supplies reactive energy storage and phase-shift assistance to the compressor motor circuit. Installed in the electrical compartment of the unit, the capacitor is connected to the start and run winding terminals of the compressor by means of specified harness leads and mounting brackets to hold it. It has a dielectric and electrode assembly, which in turn connects with the control relay and power input circuitry to control the voltage and current. The capacitor provides an energy storage phase support to enable the compressor to operate in normal cooling cycles.
