Installation Steps

Step 1: Your LG refrigerator should be disconnected from the power source.

Step 2: All food items stored within the refrigerator should be taken out, including anything placed on or adjacent to the shelf or shelves containing the spring intended to be replaced.

Step 3: A Phillips head screwdriver should be employed to unscrew and detach the screws from the side (or sides) of the shelf that requires the spring replacement.

Step 4: The shelf should be gently extracted from the refrigerator.

Step 5: The upper part of the spring should be detached from the shelf.

Step 6: The cover of the spring hook should be removed.

Step 7: Inside the hook, the spring should be disconnected.

Step 8: Both the hook and spring should be taken out.

Step 9: The hook and spring of the new MHY62044106 replacement spring should be aligned.

Step 10: The hook and spring should be positioned, securing the top of the spring to the shelf.

Step 11: The cover of the hook should be reinstalled.

Step 12: The shelf should be slid back into its original position.

Step 13: The Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to fasten the shelf with the screws.

Step 14: The LG refrigerator should be reconnected to the electrical outlet.

Step 15: Food items should be returned to the shelf featuring the new spring.
