The LG MFZ32863101 Dishwasher Pump Gasket is a sealing part used in the appliance assembly to create a secure barrier between connected parts. By supporting a proper seal around the pump assembly, the gasket supports ensure efficient water movement throughout the appliance and, protect surrounding components from moisture exposures and provides for the operation and overall system.
Step 1: The power supply to the dishwasher should be disconnected. To prevent any risk of electric shock, the power cord should be removed from the electrical outlet.
Step 2: The upper dish rack along with all contents inside the dishwasher should be taken out.
Step 3: The dishwasher pump should be identified. It can be found beneath the bottom dish rack.
Step 4: A socket wrench should be employed to detach and take out the screws securing the pump cover.
Step 5: The pump cover should be gently taken off. It should ensure that the screws and other small components are kept track of.
Step 6: The old pump gasket should be found and extracted. It will be attached to the pump using screws.
Step 7: The new LG MFZ32863101 pump gasket should be taken and positioned in the exact location on the pump where the old gasket was taken off.
Step 8: The new gasket should be fastened in place using the screws.
Step 9: The pump cover should be reattached and secured with the screws.
Step 10: A test on the dishwasher should be run to ensure that the installation of the pump gasket did not lead to any issues.
Step 11: All your dishes should be returned into the dishwasher.
Step 12: The dishwasher should be reconnected to the power source and switched on. Your dishwasher is now ready for operation.
