Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from the outlet and the water supply to the washer should be turned off.
Step 2: The washer lid should be lifted and the top lid hinge should be found. It is situated at the rear of the lid, adjacent to the hinge mounting bracket.
Step 3: A measuring tape should be utilized to assess the dimensions of the hinge. It should be recorded to verify that the correct replacement is acquired.
Step 4: The screws securing the top lid hinge should be extracted using a Phillips screwdriver. The old hinge should be removed.
Step 5: The new MEF62462103 LG Washer Top Lid Hinge should be inserted into the correct position. It should be fastened with the screws.
Step 6: It should be verified that the hinge is installed correctly.
Step 7: The power cord should be reattached and the water supply to the washer should be reactivated.
