The Magic Chef CFD3FF-49 Freezer Drain Pan Heater NP3F assists in preventing the process of ice and also facilitates the controlled drainage of water within the appliance defrost system. The defrost electrical circuit is connected to it through designated wiring terminals and is installed beneath or adjacent to the drain pan area. The heater produces localized heating when turned on during defrost mode to ensure that the drain pathway remains clear and the water flow to the evaporation area is not blocked to aid in the process of defrosting water within the normal refrigeration conditions.
