The Magic Chef 3040200020 Freezer Thermostat Control HMUF6WE controls the temperature of the inside of the appliance by sensing and commanding the compressor, among other cooling systems, to either turn on or turn off. It is fitted into the freezer part, usually beside the evaporator coil or behind the control interface, and linked to the wiring harness with the main control board and compressor relay. Adjusted to turn on at a predetermined temperature, it works together with the compressor, fans, and defrost system to ensure that the normal operations of the freezer are maintained.
