The Magic Chef 2200200020 Refrigerator Door Seal HMDR1000WE is an airtight seal between the door and the cabinet to keep the temperature in the cabinet steady. The main purpose of its use is to avoid infiltration of warm air and minimize cold air loss during usage. The seal uses a flexible magnetic strip that clings to the frame of the cabinet when it is closed so that the contact is always uniform all around the perimeter. It is attached to the edge of the door and is placed in a molded channel to fit into the door edge.
