Installation Steps

Step 1: The electrical cord of your dryer should be disconnected from the wall outlet.

Step 2: Then, the back panel of your dryer should be taken off where the thermal fuse kit is located. Several screws may have to be unscrewed to access the thermal fuse kit.

Step 3: After access to the thermal fuse kit is gained, the two wires connected to it should be identified. Two screws will be attached to these wires.

Step 4: The two wires should be removed from the two screws.

Step 5: The new thermal fuse should be obtained and carefully placed into the slot ensuring a snug fit.

Step 6: Once the new thermal fuse is secured, the two wires should be reconnected to the two screws.

Step 7: Lastly, the back panel of your dryer should be reattached and the electrical cord should be reconnected to the wall outlet.

A new thermal fuse kit should now be installed in your Whirlpool dryer and be ready for use.
