The Bosch 00630685 Range Control Knob sends the user input to the control module of the appliance to choose the heat levels and mode options, and forms the manual interface to adjust the power and mode settings. It is installed on the control shaft of the cooktop or oven control panel and fits in the configuration of indexed splines and is press-fit or set-screwed to hold the rotational position. The knob connects to the setting-changing potentiometers or switch assemblies. Through the proper selection feedback and alignment, it assists normal operation cycles such as temperature control and staged heating.
