The Kenmore S1007-012E-016 Gas Grill Flame Tamer protects burners against grease drippings, and evenly distributes heat over the cooking surface. It is mounted on the burner tubes and below the cooking grates, where it fits against support ledges, or retaining brackets within the grill firebox. The flame tamer is designed to push back the direct flames, evaporate drippings and diminish flare-ups during grilling. Its structure provides an even spread of heat, burner protection, and more reliable cooking temperatures to grill operation and better outdoor cooking performance.
