Installation Steps

Step 1: The necessary tools and materials are to be assembled. A Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench, nut driver, and an IM117000 icemaker kit are to be collected.

Step 2: The refrigerator is to be disconnected from the wall outlet or the power is to be turned off at the circuit breaker.

Step 3: The section behind the refrigerator where the icemaker is situated is to be identified.

Step 4: The adjustable wrench is to be employed to take out the screws that hold the ice maker in place.

Step 5: The electrical connector is to be unplugged from the current icemaker.

Step 6: The old icemaker is to be extracted and disposed of.

Step 7: The new icemaker kit is to be set up by initially attaching the electrical connector and then fastening it with the mounting screws.

Step 8: Any insulation that was taken out during the removal of the old icemaker is to be restored.

Step 9: It is to be verified that all wiring is secure and properly arranged.

Step 10: The kick plate access panel is to be reattached.
