The Packard IG1121 Flat Silicon Carbide Igniter is used to start ignition by creating a sufficient temperature to start gas heating. It is mounted close to the burner assembly linked to the control circuit and gas valve system to work in alignment with ignition sequences. The igniter is placed in the combustion chamber and positioned in such a way that it is exposed to the flow of gases. It aids in controlled ignition timing and flame formation which facilitates the stable operation of the burner and ensures stable heating cycles during normal operation of the system.
