The ICM Controls ICM855 Motor Hard Start PSC is used as an electrical starting assistance component that increases start torque. It operates through a positive temperature coefficient relay and a capacitor-based circuit that delivers temporary added current to the motor start winding and then reduces current flow after startup conditions are reached.
