The Hydrotech 14960 Water Softener Flow Straightener 1" is a flow-conditioning system used to stabilize the incoming water movement in appliance valves and metering assemblies. It is fitted into the 1-inch valve or meter housing in the inlet or outlet passage of water entering the measurement or control section. The reason behind the part is to straighten the turbulent water flow prior to it reaching the turbine or impeller to enhance uniformity in flow sensing. It is placed in the valve body and is fixed by the internal assembly structure.
