The General Electric WH08X32697 Lid Lock Service Kit gives a secure lock to the washer lid and also ensures a correct start of the cycle. It has an electromagnetic latch that senses the lid closed and energizes the lock mechanism when it is in use. The kit is mounted on the washer cabinet next to the lid hinge assembly, and communicates with the lid catch and control board.
