The General Electric WE13X29735 Dryer Rear Drum Support is a structural part, that is used to stabilize the back of the rotating drum in compatible dryers. Fitted at the rear of the drum housing, it provides it with a smooth surface and bearings upon which the drum can rotate and either reducing friction or wear on the moving parts. This support would assist in keeping the drum in proper alignment and assist in making the drying processes quieter and more efficient. It is changed when it becomes too worn out or scored, or damaged in a way that does not allow it to rotate smoothly or produce noise when used.
