Installation Steps

Step 1: The cap located at the top of the filter housing unit should be removed. The cap should be set aside for future use.

Step 2: The filter should be carefully extracted from the filter housing unit and disposed of.

Step 3: The new FXSVC GE SmartWater Dual Stage Drinking Water Replacement Filter should be taken and placed into the filter housing unit. It should ensure that the filter is pushed in firmly until it is fully secured.

Step 4: The cap should be reattached onto the top of the filter housing unit and it should be verified that it is tightened properly.

Step 5: The filter should be rinsed with cold water for 3-5 minutes or until the water appears clear. This process will eliminate any residual carbon sediment.

Step 6: The connections on the filter unit should be inspected to confirm they are tight and that there are no leaks.

Step 7: Your fresh, clean drinking water should be savored!

Please remember that these instructions are served as general guidance and should ideally be used alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
