The Fisher & Paykel 254304P Igniter HSI GDE SP lights to start the burners of the appliance with gas. Electric current is applied through the ceramic, making it incandescent, resulting in a flame when gas is transferred through the valve. The bracket fits the glowing tip into the port of the burner to determine proper ignition timing. It is fitted on a wall that is attached to the burner assemblies located in the oven cavity, which are connected by the use of ceramic wire leads to the control module, to be activated in a sequence during preheat cycles.
