Product Description

The LG FAA31690704 Washer Shipping Bolt Assembly is used to hold the drum to avoid any shifting that may cause internal damage. This way the drum is firmly secured and it cannot vibrate during transportation and hence has little chance of getting misaligned. The bolts are designed to be slid into the specific grooves and snap into place to hold the washer’s components tightly. They should be removed before operation to allow for the correct positioning of the drums for washing.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The LG washer is disconnected from the electrical outlet and it is verified that it is switched off.

Step 2: The washer is gently positioned on its back to gain access to the lower section of the appliance.

Step 3: The SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704) is located at the bottom rear corner of the appliance.

Step 4: With a socket wrench, the bolt is loosened until it can be fully unscrewed. After the bolt is removed, the old one is set aside.

Step 5: The area surrounding the hole where the SHORT SHIPPING BOLT was previously installed is wiped.

Step 6: The new SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704) is inserted into the hole, ensuring that the threads are aligned properly.

Step 7: The bolt is fastened with your socket wrench and it is tightened until it is secure.

Step 8: To confirm that your washer is prepared for operation, it is plugged in and switched on. If everything functions correctly, the SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704) has been effectively replaced.
