The Electrolux 5304519241 Dishwasher Door Latch Switch Assembly senses the closed position of the door to the appliance control system. When the door is closed, wash cycles can be initiated and proceed by attaching to the front access of the dishwasher tub and connecting with the door strike, with electrical contacts attached to the main wiring harness. The contacts of the switch are set to open when the door opens. In regular wash, rinse, and drain cycles, it provides real-time door status information to the controller to assist with regular cycle operations.
