The Electrolux 5304491588 Range Hood Aluminum Grease Filter is to remove the grease and cooking particles from the air that passes through the appliance. It is to trap airborne grease before it gets to the fan, motor, and ductwork of the hood to keep the air flowing and limit the accumulation. The filter operates by providing a set of layered screens of aluminum mesh that will trap the droplets of grease as the air goes through. It is mounted in the lower part of the intake of the range hood and can be removed.
