The Electrolux 0L2846 Dishwasher Air Trap prevents the backward flow of wastewater and provides a controlled air seal in the appliance drain line to control the drainage cycles. It is placed below the dishwasher tub with the internal drain outlet attached to the external drain hose, with the inlet and outlet ports facing the pump discharge. The trap connects with other hose attachments and chassis mountings to assure elevation and seal integrity. This design allows regular operation cycles, avoiding circulation, stabilizing the evacuation time of the water, and providing adequate control of pumps and drains.
