The Electrolux 099109 Freezer Door Gasket is a closed system between the appliance and the cabinet to ensure the internal temperature and to avoid air leakage. Its function is to squeeze against the frame of the cabinet when the door is closed, and it reduces the amount of cold air that is exchanged with the outside world. The gasket is a heat-resistant, flexible seal that connects to the perimeter of the door to ensure a tight closure. It is installed on the side of the freezer door during production.
