The Electrolux 091707 Freezer Overload Cutoff Adjustable 10-16A EP 0911 cuts the current flow to the compressor motor when excessive load is detected. It has a variable thermal sensing element that was adjusted to 10-16 amperes to close the circuit in case of overload and automatically reclose the circuit when the temperatures returned to normal. It is installed in a series with the electrical terminals of the compressor on the inside of the freezer cabinet and the compressor housing and cutout prevent the unnecessary current flow into the compressor.
