The Electrolux 059544 Boiling Pan 4-Position Commutator regulates electrical energy to the areas or parts of the heating component by alternating among 4 predetermined output circuits. Internal contacts are realigned when the control knob or the selection is turned to connect the input feed to the selected pattern of elements, which allows the required combinations of heat levels. The commutator is mounted behind the control panel on the boiling pan unit, and the terminals are aligned to the wiring harness so that the circuit selection and distribution of power occur in a coordinated manner when the unit is operating normally.
