Installation Steps

Step 1: The ice maker in your Whirlpool refrigerator is deactivated by pressing the switch situated inside the refrigerator, close to the top of the refrigerator door.

Step 2: The water filter compartment located at the rear of your refrigerator is identified. Depending on the model, it may be positioned at the bottom behind the kick plate panel or in the upper right corner of the refrigerator.

Step 3: The old filter is rotated and detached to reveal the O-rings.

Step 4: The O-ring is extracted and disposed of from the filter housing.

Step 5: The new EDR5RXD1 Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Filter 5 is placed.

Step 6: The O-ring is inserted back into the filter housing, making sure it’s sealed correctly.
