Installation Steps

Step 1: The water filter housing located on the ceiling of the refrigerator compartment must be identified.

Step 2: The filter must be rotated 1/4 turn counterclockwise to release and detach it.

Step 3: The orientation of the new filter must be verified. The arrow on its side must direct toward the refrigerator wall.

Step 4: The filter must be placed into the housing.

Step 5: The new filter must be rotated 1/4 turn clockwise until it is securely in place.

Step 6: If applicable, the “change filter” indicator light on your model must be reset.

Step 7: The new filter must be flushed with one to two gallons of cold water to enhance taste and minimize air bubbles.
