Installation Steps
Step 2: Access the Filter Compartment. The filter door is carefully lifted to reveal the existing filter.
Step 3: Extract and Dispose of the Old Filter. The used water filter is removed by pulling it straight out and it is discarded properly.
Step 4: Get the New Water Filter Ready. Your new filter is taken out of the packaging and any protective coverings from the O-rings are eliminated. It is confirmed that the O-rings stay securely positioned after the packaging is removed.
Step 5: Position the New Water Filter. The filter is aligned with the slot so that the arrow is directed upward. It is inserted carefully—do not force it. If it does not slide in easily, the filter is rotated to align the grooves with the notches.
Step 6: Close the Filter Door. The filter door is firmly pushed shut until a click or snap indicating it is secured is heard.
Step 7: Flush and Reset. Four gallons of water are dispensed through the dispenser to flush the new filter. Afterward, the filter indicator light on your refrigerator panel is reset.
