Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 4: The new switch should be placed. First, the two wires should be connected to the terminals, ensuring they are attached in the same manner as with the previous switch. The switch should be fastened securely with the screws.
Step 5: The power cord should be reconnected to the outlet and the cooktop should be verified to function correctly with the new switch.
