Installation Steps

Step 1: The washing machine is disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The water pump is found and the two electrical wires linking it to the washer control panel are detached.

Step 3: The clamp that secures the drain hose is removed, then the hose is extracted from the drain pump housing.

Step 4: The four mounting screws that hold the pump to the washer are taken out and it is lifted away.

Step 5: The new DC96-01585D Samsung Washer Water Drain Pump is positioned and it is fastened using the four mounting screws that were previously taken out.

Step 6: The drain hose is reattached and the clamp is secured.

Step 7: The wires are reconnected to the pump and back to the washer control panel.

Step 8: The washer is activated by switching it on and initiating a cycle.

Step 9: After the cycle finishes, the washer is unplugged and the discharge hose is inspected for any leaks. The clamps are adjusted if needed.
