Installation Steps
Step 2: Next, the filter tank positioned at the bottom right corner of the refrigerator should be located. It can be recognized by its model number (DA97-11435A). The two screws found on both sides of the filter tank should be removed and the tank should be carefully lifted upwards and away from the refrigerator. It should be set aside as it will not be reused.
Step 3: The new filter tank is now set to be placed. It should be positioned in the identical spot as the previous one and the two screws should be inserted to secure it. The line fittings should be ensured snug, but not overly tight, to prevent leaks.
Step 4: After the new filter tank is firmly in position, a pair of adjustable pliers should be taken to reconnect the incoming water supply line to the back of the new filter tank. The connection should be verified with the pliers to make sure it is secure.
Step 5: Finally, the water shutoff valve that was disabled at the beginning of this procedure should be turned on. Once the valve is activated, any leaks around the filter tank or water supply line should be inspected. If no leaks are observed, the task has been completed and fresher and better-tasting water can now be relished in your refrigerator.
