Installation Steps

Step 1: Your refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet. Additionally, the water supply should be ensured turned off if it is linked.

Step 2: All food items should be taken out and set aside.

Step 3: The top hinge cover located at the center of the door should be identified. This cover is secured by two Phillips head screws; they should be extracted with the Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 4: Within the hinge cover, three screws that secure the spring to the back of the door will be found. These screws should be removed using the Phillips head screwdriver and placed aside.

Step 5: The old spring should be detached from the door and the new spring should be inserted into position. The screws should be refastened with the Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 6: The hinge cover should be repositioned and fastened with the two Phillips head screws.

Step 7: The door should be closed and it should be verified that the spring is firmly attached by gently pulling on the door.

Step 8: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the wall outlet and the water supply should be turned back on if necessary.
