The Samsung DA47-10160F Refrigerator Thermo Protector Bi-Metal is a temperature-sensitive protection circuit that is used to safeguard the appliance components against overheating. It is made up of a bimetallic component that opens, or closes an electric circuit according to the temperature limits. This protector is mounted inside the refrigerator, and is attached to the wiring harness. It cuts power when temperatures are unsafe and reinstates it when the conditions are back to normal, to prevent damage and aid in the better cooling operation when used normally.
