Product Description
The Samsung DA47-00243A Refrigerator Defrost Bimetal Thermostat is a temperature switch that controls power to the defrosting heating system. It is connected near the evaporator area and senses the surrounding temperature and changes its electrical state at a set point. When cooling causes frost to build, the thermostat remains closed until the temperature reaches its operating limit. As heat raises its temperature, the contacts open and stop current from reaching the heater. This switching action coordinates defrost control with temperature changes and keeps frost removal within normal cooling system operation.
